This will Bee a Happy Halloween

Last night we all gathered at Grandma and Grandpa Wootton's house for some awesome pulled pork and a fun pumpkin carve. Everyone had a pumpkin and they were pretty cool when they were done. Madeline had Grandma's help carving hers, and I'm pretty sure daddy helped her get the "Guts" out.
This morning I was pounced on by a strangely LARGE Bumble Bee. It buzzed in my ear that it was ready for breakfast. But what do you feed a Bee that size?
So I made it do a little dance for my camera, and I captured the creature on film for you to see.

It was a very thrilling experience all around. Happy Halloween everyone!

Things Got A Little Hairy Tonight...

Our cute little girl played dress up tonight, and asked that I take some pictures with my phone so that you could all see her wearing my new fur hooded vest.

I think it was totally a set up so that she could scare you.

Did it work? Worked on me. :)

Autumn In, Summer Out

It's definitely Autumn, and the leaves on the trees surrounding the Wootton household are painting the area in reds, yellows and golds. By the end of the week we should have a very crunchy lawn for Trick-or-Treaters to wander through. We hope you have an awesome Halloween this year!

Chuck-E-Cheese on a Friday Night

Well we have now officially made our daughter's childhood complete. Or, at the very least we gave her that one thing a lot of us wanted to do when we were children. We took her to the Chuck-E-Cheese in Orem for Pizza and games Friday night. We ordered our food and sat waiting at the table. They gave us tokens for ordering, and Madeline sat there like the Queen in her Counting House. Smirking the whole time.

Pizza was crappy and overpriced but watching Madeline and Justin play on all the games together was great. We are so raising a gamer girl.

Who knows, someday even she might sneak off to play Furious Finger too. :P

We're getting ready for our party on Saturday. Our guests from out of state arrive on Thursday afternoon. I'm pretty sure everything is ready for them. Aside from getting groceries tomorrow. This is going to be so much fun. :)

Many Canadian Turkeys Were Roasted This Day.

Today was definitely a crazy day in our household. Madeline and I both had dentist appointments this morning, followed by last minute preparations for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner. A wander out to Alpine to ship packages for the family business resulted in the acquisition of a Jared. Our Jared, not THE Jared.. (Careless Spiderwick Chronicles reference courtesy of Madeline) I am so happy that Jared made it to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. We had so much food and it was fun to hear him putting together a 100 piece puzzle "with" Madeline. Good Job Jared. You made it a bunny!!

Cornish Game Hens in Honey Mustard Glaze, fresh carrots, brown sugar glazed yams, corn, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, marbled rye bread, chocolate chip brownies smothered in triple chocolate chip fudge icing and Vanilla Bean ice cream.

No one better be going to bed hungry in THIS house tonight...

Then we went downstairs, Madeline had a bath, cause she was covered in chocolate, and we watched Chicken Little.

We're off to sleep. Night all. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.

Hope you had fun Jared.

Ready or Not, Here She Comes!

It's been a lazy day here at home, we're doing some laundry and we're cleaning slowly. Madeline was in the bath tub singing in german or italian or latin, perhaps a new language which combines all three, to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Shouting out that she had finished her solo, I gathered her some clothes and set them on the toilet seat with a towel and told her to let the water out and get herself dressed. We're working on "Being a Big Girl" which includes drying yourself off and getting yourself dressed. Preferably with the shirt and underwear on the right way.

After a few minutes of giggling, and a second of ominous silence, our little princess bolted down the hallway and into the livingroom looking like this:

I promise you, those are not the articles of clothing I had laid out for her. :) Something tells me someone is a bit excited for Halloween. (After flashing us with a very naked little bum, she promptly went and got herself dressed.)

Hair today, Gone Tomorrow

Madeline and I both got our hair cut today. Although mine is only trimmed. I dyed mine black for my costume, and I'll have to take pictures and show you all later. Here's one of Madeline to tide you over.
Soooo cute with bangs. :)
